Caldecott School uses the Department for Education’s School Financial Benchmarking website to inform our review of per pupil income and expenditure data against that of other similar schools. This identifies areas of spending which are not close to the average. We make an informed comparison which takes account of the context of our school’s pupils and
operations.
Our Governor Resources Committee undertakes an annual benchmarking review, but all our financial decision-making includes benchmarking as a consideration. The school bursar works for several other Oxfordshire schools, which provides a comparison of good practice and best value.
